Everything you could ask for – Paul’s Place

We spent a month (May/June) in Paul’s Place and enjoyed every minute. House has all the amenities you could ask for. The gated gardens are constantly being looked after and the pools are inviting. Excellent location for the main Strip and 15 minutes walk from the Old Town. Would highly recommend The Lounge Bar for excellent Tapas. 4 large supermarkets within 10 minutes walk. Communication from owner was excellent with several suggestions for local events for us to attend. Airport pickup arranged through the owner to/from Alicante. Tried to book for next year but already booked up! Weather was a bonus being late 20’s most day.

Wonderful break – Paul’s Place

During February into March my wife and I spent a post covid break in the wonderful Paul’s Place in Los Alcazares. Although a holiday for us, the facilities in the villa made it feel like a home from home. It had everything that we could possibly need and it was very evident that Louise and Paul really care about providing the best possible experience for their guests. Our arrival was very smooth (after a six-day drive from Scotland!) with Linda providing a very warm welcome and explaining everything that we needed for our stay.

The villa itself was spacious and very well equipped including all the modern kitchen appliances you would need; dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, oven, hob and microwave. After a hard shift in the kitchen, the tv had just about every channel imaginable; great for the cold dark nights! The patio at the front of the villa was ideal for a sunny breakfast and the roof top solarium provided a private space for sun bathing.

The Albatross complex is a gated safe urbanisation and had a calm relaxing feel. It was well laid out with lovely landscaping and the villa is situated a short distance from the pool. I would imagine during the busier summer months it would be ideal for families.

The area of Los Alcazares was ideal for us. It had a great balance between a beautiful quiet promenade with views over the Mar Menor, and the ‘strip’ containing lots of restaurants and bars. This coupled with the close proximity to the old town made it the ideal place for us. It was so refreshing and revitalising taking a long walk along the promenade with the morning sun glistening on the Mar Menor.

A special mention to Louise for the communication, caring, and thoughtful manner in making us very welcome. The pandemic caused us significant challenges and the flexible, friendly approach was very much appreciated. It is when there are problems that you get a measure of the true worth of people. Louise was the ideal host; It was clear that she really cared about us having a wonderful stay and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you and I look forward to our break same time next year!!

We’ve just returned from a lovely 6 week stay in Paul’s house, and we really can’t recommend it enough, a real home from home. There was everything we needed for our stay, we cooked many full meals, and did all our washing, including our bedding which dried beautifully on the roof sun terrace. We just lounged around in the evenings that we didn’t go out, on a really comfortable sofa, watching tv with every UK channel we could possibly want. The beds, towels, pillows and bedding supplied were good quality and also very comfy, with extra pillows and bedding if needed.

There is a good new heating system, and it’s worth spending some time reading the info to understand how to use it. Also there is a helpful information file on everything you might need to know, a worthwhile read with a cuppa or glass of wine maybe!

The complex is beautifully maintained and landscaped, and if you need any help Louise, or their local property support Linda and Neil, are really quick to offer help or advice if you need it. We loved it so much we rebooked for next year before we left, and can’t wait.

We had a fab week at Lou’s place. The apartment had everything we needed and more and Louise was great to deal with. Hoping to return later in the year. Thanks again for your hospitality

Just returned from two weeks at Lou’s bungalow what a lovely place it’s clean and tidy. There is everything you will need. Louise is easy to book with. it’s nice and quiet to sit out on the terrace. Just yards from the pool with beach towels included. Looking forward to the two holidays we have booked next year. Thanks, Lou for letting us come to your lovely bungalow. xx

Holiday was superb. The apartment is on a lovely gated complex a short walk from the 525 plaza where there are loads of good restaurants and a big supermarket. The beach is a few hundred yards. The pool is a minutes walk but you do not overlook it so apartment is lovely and quiet. We got taxi transfers from airport arranged by the owner and this was seamless. So nice not having to drive.

If you do drive there is parking inside the gates a very short walk from the property. Aircon throughout and everything you could wish for in the property. Ryanair cancelled our flight shortly before travel but Louise was fabulous about accommodating the changes we needed to make. There was a welcome pack on arrival and we were met by Linda who explained keys etc and we handed keys back to her on departure. Once we have our daughters college dates we will look at returning next year.

We have just returned from a mini break at Lou’s place. We have stayed here several times before and it always feels like coming home. The apartment is well maintained and furnished to a high standard. It has everything you could want or need during your stay. We love the fact that it’s very close to the beach and many restaurants of Los Alcazares. We will definitely be back again soon.
